Multiple Ports for PC and AV Connectivity
The FORIS FX2431’s versatile connections include dual HDMI inputs to connect with devices such as Blu-ray players, HD game consoles, and computers. Composite, component and S-Video inputs support signals from audio-visual equipment such as DVD players, satellite tuners, or Sony’s PSP (PlayStation Portable). Up to four PCs can be connected at once using digital or analog PC inputs and the HDMI inputs.

Share Peripherals between PCs with Auto USB
The FX2431’s Auto USB selection feature and two upstream USB ports allow for simultaneous sharing of one keyboard and mouse between two connected computers. Auto USB selection reduces desktop clutter since you only need one mouse and keyboard to use your PCs, and it offers the added convenience of not having to reconnect your peripherals every time you switch computers.

Enhanced Screen Sizes
EIZO’s new FX2431 features a “Portable mode” connection that lets you plug in your PSP (PlayStation Portable) and play games on the monitor’s generous 24-inch screen. It also comes with an AV connection that lets you display 480i/p format and other low resolution games at up to twice their original size without distortion.

Fast Gameplay with Thru Mode
To keep up with fast-paced gaming, a Thru mode reduces the time it takes for a signal to appear on the screen to a mere 1/60th of a second. This is equivalent to just one frame of a progressive signal, or two frames of an interlace signal, which means you can instantly shoot enemies in games like SEGA’s Bayonetta.

Flawless 1080/24p HD Playback
To enjoy video playback as smooth as you would see in a cinema or gaming arcade, the FX2431’s dual HDMI inputs support a video signal display rate of 1080/24p frames-per-second (48Hz). This support eliminates motion artifacts known as judder in fast-paced gaming or movie scenes with panning or scrolling movements.

Clear Image with I/P Conversion
I/P (Interlace/Progressive) conversion minimizes picture artifacts that normally occur with interlace video signals. By detecting the amount of change between interlaced film frames and applying the right amount of I/P conversion, the FX2431 ensures your video images are displayed with exceptional clarity.

Optimized Brightness with Auto EcoView
An Auto EcoView sensor on the front of the monitor measures ambient light and optimizes the screen's brightness to levels akin to viewing a sheet of paper under typical office lighting conditions. Since the screen is never too bright, eye strain is reduced while power consumption is cut by up to 43% compared to operating the monitor with Auto EcoView turned off and set to the default factory brightness of 100%.

Remote Control, Direct Command
RemoteThe bundled HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Council) compliant remote control lets you operate not only the FX2431, but also other HDMI device it is linked to. The remote offers full control of the monitor’s OSD menu, plus one-touch access to Picture-in-Picture, screen size, color adjustment, and EcoView Index. Furthermore, it lets you switch between your frequently used PC, video, and HDMI sources by pressing the remote’s input selection buttons.

Wide Color Gamut
The wide gamut reproduces 96% of the Adobe RGB color space for true-to-life color when viewing digital photos taken in a camera’s Adobe RGB mode.

Picture-in-Picture
Displaying content from a PC on the main screen while showing video input on a sub-screen, Picture-in-Pic ture lets you do two things at once - such as checking email while enjoying a Blu-ray video. Personalize the layout of your PinP by selecting and repositioning the sub-window using the monitor’s remote control.

Energy Efficiency Gauge
To encourage environmental consciousness while working, a user-activated gauge called "EcoView Index" indicates energy consumption in correlation with the screen’s brightness. When EcoView Index is fully illuminated, the monitor is operating at optimum energy efficiency.

Zero Watts When Turned Off
When the power save mode and off timer are set, this monitor consumes less than 1.3 watts. When turned off via the main power switch, it con sumes no electricity at all.
